Liverpool Irish Festival

In 2014 I was brought in to look after the PR, social media and digital strategy for the Liverpool Irish Festival. I have worked in each festival since, supporting on communications, artist liaison, evaluation and development.

Celebrating the cultural connections between Liverpool and Ireland, the Festival began in 2003. 2014 was it’s largest yet covering ten days with over 50 events and 30+ venues. From music to food, art, dance and performance the Festival was richly diverse and attracted over 8,000 visitors.

Working alongside the Festival Manager my role was to organise the festival plan to promote the festival both locally, nationally and internationally. Developing a digital strategy and maintaining and managing social media feeds began in June and continued throughout the Festival which ran in the last week of October.

Read some of the Liverpool Irish Festival coverage in the Liverpool Echo, Bay TV Liverpool, Liverpool Confidential and the Irish Times.
